Welcome to Evu (“we”, “our”, or “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use the Evu application and website.

• Mandatory: First name, email address
• Optional: Last name, mobile number, profile image URL, and “About” information

Optional information is provided voluntarily and is used only to enhance your profile and experience.

b. Account, Event, and Transaction Information

• Account and profile settings
• Event participation and ticket bookings
• Payment-related metadata such as payment intent ID, transaction status, and payment method type

We do not store card numbers, CVV codes, bank details, or PayPal credentials. All payments are processed securely by our payment service providers.

c. Automatically Collected Information

• Device and technical information (device type, operating system, app version)
• Usage and interaction data (features used, pages visited)
• Log data used for security, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring

d. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the platform and improve functionality. Analytics is disabled by default and activated only after explicit consent. You may withdraw consent via app settings or cookie preferences.

e. Third-Party Authentication

If you sign in with third-party providers such as Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (name and email) per the provider’s privacy policy.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted providers:

• Google Firebase – authentication, data storage, analytics (EU region where applicable)
• Stripe – payment processing (card and PayPal)

These providers act as data processors under GDPR and process data according to our instructions and agreements.

5. Data Storage and Security

Personal data is stored using Google Firestore in the EU region. We apply technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Encrypted backups may be maintained for recovery.

6. Data Retention

• User account data retained until deletion
• Transaction data retained per tax/accounting requirements
• Failed/incomplete transactions retained temporarily for troubleshooting and fraud prevention
• Technical/log data retained only as long as necessary for security

7. Children’s Privacy

Evu is not harmful to children, but we recommend minors use the platform with parental consent where required.

We do not knowingly collect children’s data without parental consent. If discovered, we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you may:

• Access, correct, or update your data
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict processing in certain circumstances
• Port your data
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent when processing relies on it
